Mainframe Developer
Kforce's client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Mainframe Software Engineer with superb mainframe technical and analytical skills to develop and maintain high volume production platforms. Responsibilities:
- Engage closely with business and systems partners to deliver high quality and innovative software solutions. You are energized and hardworking to learn and grow with us in our digital transformation to build future cloud platform capabilities
- Deploy and support software releases into production environments
- Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe
- 6+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
- Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM
- Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments
- You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing
- Validated experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus
- Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
- Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences
- Proven ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
- Adopt flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs
- You bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills and seek to share that knowledge with your squad members
