Essential Function:
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Reviews material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage on-time-delivery and consignment bin levels to customer requirement.
- Perform Inventory improvement projects as assigned.
- Manage Production Requirements Planning (PRP) in Plex
- Work Collaboratively with Value Stream personnel on Jobs and Customer Orders
- Manage Subcontractor production schedule and material flow
- Communicate raw material requirements to support production for Customer Orders.
- Monitor and maintain First Article requirements.
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriate.
- Carries out special projects and all other appropriate and reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Follow all company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to Manufacturing Manager, EHS Manager, and/ or Director of Manufacturing
- Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S
- Perform tasks/duties related to special projects or assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned by department management
- Ability to handle internal customer situations, which are sometimes time critical in a logical manner and resolve issues resourcefully and tactfully.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment
- Must be able to pay close attention to details
- Must be able to perform successfully under minimum supervision

Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas to the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associates degree in Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years or production planning experience and MRP (Materials Requirement Planning)
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
- Desire and willingness to be held accountable for business results.
- Strong Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite.
- Plex experience is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate.
