50 Norths mission is to enrich lives and support independence of people 50 and older in Hancock County. We offer solutions in these key areas: ACTIVITIES, CHORES, NUTRITION, OUTREACH AND WELLNESS.

What you will be doing:

The Caf Server will be taking orders for lunch (only 4 choices) and serving older adults, tableside. Lunches are paid for before seating. No bills to distribute and no money to handle. Working hours: 10:00 am - 1:30 pm 3-4 days per week. Days can be flexible.

• Greet guests as they enter the caf.
• Seat guests as needed.
• Take orders and serve food and drinks to guests.
• Assist with rearranging tables for larger groups as needed.
• Addresses concerns or complaints to ensure customers have an exceptional experience.
• Thank guests for dining in the caf when they leave.
• Assumes any other duties as needed.

What you need:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in service or restaurant industry preferred.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Exhibits excellent organizational skills.
• Maintains friendly demeanor.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

Physical job requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

• Remain in stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Ability to move equipment or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to carry a serving tray of food and drinks while moving about the caf
• Ability to arrive at work on time.
• Move about to accomplish tasks.
• Ability to become CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
