The Quality Co-op plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products: Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in mechanical engineering.
Responsibilities
- Root cause Analysis implementation of corrective action process related concerns
- Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system
- Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, ect.
- Interface with engineering and operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
- Support Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with relevant requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Conduct audits including closing out audit findings reports ad determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
- Create and Maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, ect.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing functions.
- Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier, corrective actions and preventive actions.
- Preparation of QA reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school education and actively pursuing a minimum of BS degree in Engineering.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Use and be capable of using measuring tools (optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, scales, ect.); interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math,
- Proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL©
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards and able to gain an understanding of Quality System.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision
- Prefer knowledge and understanding of GD&T
