Project Manager - Strategic Initiatives
Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives role is available for the Nuclear Operations Group facility in Barberton, Ohio. This key role is responsible for facilitating progress on Operations based Cost/Span/Technology ‘MoVE’ projects driving both near-term schedule recovery and longer-term production efficiencies. Role is deeply embedded in core functional areas of Operations, E&TS, Planning, and other support areas, working closely with senior site leadership to develop new and creative ways to improve OEE and increase shop efficiencies.Location:On-site in Barberton, OHYour Day to Day as a Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives:style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"-
-Recognizes opportunities for operational/process improvement and develops ‘MoVE’ projects to address through new technologies, data driven solutions, and collaboration
-Manage multiple projects that impact priority KPIs for the site by leading project teams to deliver on actions and maintain project schedule and budget
-Requires in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in manufacturing and basic knowledge of shop floor management and principles
-Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
-Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from manager and site leadership
-Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems that impact effectiveness
-Applies understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness, provide guidance and influence processes and policies
-Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality and timeliness objectives
-Works constructively with professional employees and supervisors/superintendents
-Provides status and project overviews to site leadership and our customer through formal and informal presentations with varying level of deliverablesRequired Qualifications:style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"-
-Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Associate’s degree or technical school equivalent maybe considered in lieu of 4-year degree.
-Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing.
-Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Experience with developing, delivering, and maintaining various size project schedules
-Excellent organization and program management skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
-Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.Preferred Qualifications:style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"-
-Prior experience with manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or shop floor supervision

The hourly rate for this position in -- at the start of employment is expected to be between $-- and $-- per hour. The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
