3PL Program Director

GEMCORE is seeking an experienced and strategic 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) Program Director / Project Manager to lead and manage our rapidly expanding 3PL operations. This critical role will oversee the logistical execution and performance of high-volume 3PL programs—currently exceeding 3 million annual shipments and continuing to grow. The ideal candidate is a logistics expert with a proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-channel 3PL operations, including U.S. domestic and territorial shipping, and ensuring strict compliance with corporate, regulatory, and partner standards.

This role requires cross-functional collaboration and influence, serving as the key liaison between GEMCORE and our 3PL partners while coordinating with internal departments such as IT, Compliance, Customer Service, Procurement, Sales, and Finance to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement of our fulfillment and distribution strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary leader and point of contact for all 3PL logistics operations and partners.

• Drive strategic planning, implementation, and performance monitoring of high-volume fulfillment and shipping operations.

• Oversee logistics across the U.S. and U.S. territories, ensuring compliance with all service-level agreements, regulations, and shipping requirements.

• Coordinate logistics and 3PL execution across multiple distribution facilities—including new and future locations such as Salt Lake City—to ensure consistent service levels and operational alignment.

• Ensure all logistics operations remain in strict compliance with contractual obligations, partner requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.

• Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and quality teams to proactively address and document compliance risks or deviations.

• Lead audits and performance reviews to ensure 3PL partners are meeting all agreed-upon compliance metrics and reporting standards.

• Develop KPIs, scorecards, and reporting frameworks to track 3PL partner performance and drive accountability.

• Manage cross-departmental projects to support new product launches, market expansions, systems integration, and workflow enhancements tied to 3PL.

• Assist with contract negotiations and relationship management with logistics providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and service excellence.

• Coordinate issue resolution and root-cause analysis with internal teams and 3PL providers to mitigate disruptions and optimize throughput.

• Provide thought leadership in automation, packaging, and logistics innovation to support GEMCORE’s long-term scalability goals.

• Travel as needed to domestic distribution centers and partner sites to oversee operations, build relationships, and support project implementation.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of logistics or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years focused specifically on 3PL management at scale.

• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale shipping programs (1M+ shipments/year preferred).

• Strong understanding of compliance requirements in healthcare, pharma, or regulated industries is a plus.

• Experience with shipping to U.S. territories and international destinations strongly preferred.

• Proven project management expertise with cross-functional stakeholders; PMP certification a plus.

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
