Shop Mechanic

Location: Findlay, OH

Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in the garage and has a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance & Fabrication Technician who can take the lead on vehicle repairs, welding, and diagnostics—with little to no supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain gas and diesel vehicles and equipment
• Perform welding and metal fabrication : flat, vertical, and overhead
• Operate welding and grinding tools with precision
• Assemble metal structures and components
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and performance tests
• Handle repairs on major vehicle systems including brakes, pumps, hydraulics, and transmissions
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with legal requirements
• Maintain records and follow company policies
• Occasionally operate wrecker/towing equipment

What You Bring:

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance & metal fabrication
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of gas & diesel engines , hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Comfortable using hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must own tools necessary for the job

Bonus Points If You Have:

• CDL Class A License (or willing to obtain)
• Welding certification or demonstrated welding expertise
• Experience with heavy equipment or fleet vehicles
• A can-do attitude and commitment to quality work

• Clean driving record and insurable under company policy
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Dependable, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
