Controller
- Develops and implements goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll
- Prepares financial statements and reports and reviews with management team
- Directs the maintenance of the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, and inventory valuation
- Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, Cost of goods sold, depreciation, and other expenses
- Conducts in-depth financial analysis, including profitability, cost variance, and product margin analysis, to support strategic decision-making
- Prepares and presents financial reports to senior management, the CFO, and the board of directors, providing actionable insights.
- Coordinates preparation of external audit materials for annual review
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales, use, and business taxes, and performs timely filings

- Collaborates with other departments to align financial strategies with operational goals and company objectives
- Supervises and mentors accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment and ensuring professional development
- May be assigned additional project responsibilities, as required
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-4 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing staff
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Proficiency in financial ERP systems, preferably Netsuite, and advanced Excel skills
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align financial objectives with business goals
- High degree of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret accounting/financial information and systems.
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
