Customer Sales Associate

Our organization, founded in 1966, specializes in working with customers who need commercial food service equipment. Restaurant Equippers is a privately held nationwide supplier of Food Service Equipment and Supplies. The company operates multiple Warehouse Stores, a Nationwide Call Center and a Nationwide internet shopping site and is currently searching for strong, restaurant experienced, EQUIPMENT & SUPPLY SPECIALISTS to assist our customers.
Responsibilities
This position is engaged with our customers while performing the steps of the sales routine,
- Promptly greeting customers as they arrive and/or telephone the store. Building and maintaining customer relationships is key.
- Assisting customers with selecting the product(s) to meet their needs
- Comfortably explains the product(s) features, benefits, usage, product care, and warranty protection program, sincerely helping the customer make the best informed and economical selection for their individual needs
- Provides cost-saving tips and alternatives (such as special advertised priced items, clearance and buyout bargains, discounted scratch & dent or discontinued items, etc.) and suggests meaningful, helpful, needed accessories to customers,
- Finalizes customer orders, method of payment and shipping/delivery routine
Several other facets of this position are centered around customer sales activities, such as following up on open sales orders, processing returns, researching deliveries, building / maintaining display areas, and more.
Education and Experience
- Associate's Degree or higher academic Degree
- At least 6-months of experience and/or training in food service operations management or food service equipment sales and service
- Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese or Spanish is preferred
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions and managing stock levels accurately.
- Experience with cash handling is a plus, ensuring a smooth checkout process for customers.

Pay: $19.50 - $28.56 per hour
