CNC Lathe Programmer

Job Title: CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer

Salary: Based on Experienced

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift (occasional overtime may be required)

Job Summary:

As a CNC Machinist, you will program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. You will work with G-code , Mastercam , Fusion 360 , and a variety of manual and automated machines, including Haas CNC and ProtoTRAK lathes .

Key Responsibilities:

• Program CNC mills and lathes using G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills , CNC lathes , and manual ProtoTRAK lathes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings , blueprints , and GD&T specifications
• Perform tool changes , machine offsets , and adjustments as needed
• Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Maintain equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot machining issues to ensure high quality and optimal productivity
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to improve machining processes and reduce material waste

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent ( technical certification in CNC machining preferred )
• 2+ years of experience as a CNC operator or CNC programmer
• Strong understanding of G-code programming , blueprint reading , and technical drawings
• Experience with Haas CNC machines , ProtoTRAK lathes , and 3-axis CNC systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a hands-on production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts
