Electrical Controls Engineer

In this role, you'll take full ownership of electrical control design-from concept development through installation at customer facilities. You'll collaborate closely with technicians, support system assembly, and program all aspects of the equipment you help create.

Key Responsibilities

• Design complete electrical schematics for automated machinery and robotic work cells

• Develop clean-sheet control programs

• Create offline programs prior to commissioning

• Debug, refine, and finalize system programs

• Generate bills of materials and support purchasing activities

• Write clear and comprehensive equipment operation manuals

• Conduct and document equipment risk assessments

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a related field

• Associate's degree or higher

• Valid driver's license

• Experience with 2D electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD)

• PLC programming experience with any of the following:

  • Allen-Bradley

  • Mitsubishi

  • Omron

  • Siemens

• HMI programming experience with any of the following:

  • Allen-Bradley

  • Mitsubishi

• Ability to travel within the U.S. up to 25%

• Strong understanding of industry safety standards and design practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Robotic programming experience with any of the following:

  • FANUC

  • Motoman

  • ABB

• Experience with vision systems such as Cognex or FANUC iRVision

• Project management experience
