About the Role:
The CBRE Union Maintenance Technician role is a hands-on position responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems at a local hospital in Toledo. The role involves conducting inspections, diagnosing problems, and completing repairs while ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 11pm-7:30am
What You’ll Do:
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Work with available systems to track completion.
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
- Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
- Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.

What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Union Lean Maintenance position is $24 per hour and the maximum salary is $29 per hour, shift differential included depending on schedule. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
