Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in implementing new, changed, or improved products into the manufacturing process. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with quality and manufacturing teams to enhance production methods and ensure efficient and effective output. Responsibilities- Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to implement measurement and process control techniques.
- Design and develop tooling and processes for efficient production methods.
- Work with vendors to develop specifications for tooling, equipment, parts, or materials.
- Assist operations in estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs.
- Coordinate product and process changes using ECR and PCR processes.
- Design, develop, and implement fixtures and tooling to ensure low defect levels and product cost.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings and equipment design concepts.
- Provide engineering support to the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, tooling, machining, and fabrication.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience writing work instructions.
- Experience performing process audits and time studies.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in overseeing a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to adapt to ambiguity and less structured processes.
This role operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 1-9 pm. The work environment is a recently remodeled facility featuring a game room and an extremely clean manufacturing space. The position involves 80% of the time on the floor responding to machines and setting up, with 20% at a desk. The team consists of six manufacturing engineers, providing a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
