Job Title: Registered Nurse – Oncology
Location: Ithaca, NY 14850
Duration: 13 Weeks
Employment Type: Contract (Local or Travel)
Pay Range: $2,000–$2,200 per week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Oncology for an exciting Travel or Local job in Ithaca, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies following established protocols
Monitor patients during and post-treatment for any side effects or adverse reactions
Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment regimens, side effects, and home care
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to assess, plan, and evaluate individualized care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Manage and monitor central lines, ports, and IV access
Offer emotional support to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of recent Oncology nursing experience
Proven experience in infusion therapy is required
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license in New York State
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card – Preferred (may be required depending on facility)
