Communication Coordinator

The City of Green is seeking an individual with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative, be a team player, adapt to shifting priorities, and prioritize work to join our Communications team. The successful candidate, under the direction of the Communications Manager, will advise departments on effective communication efforts and contribute to positive public and community relations. This individual will serve as lead social media coordinator, write, create and coordinate communications including news releases, newsletters, and media relations; and assist with photography/video production, graphic design and website content for the City of Green.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism or English, marketing, graphic design, new media, video production or similar field; one to three+ years of experience in communications, social media, graphic design or website management; demonstrated effectiveness in written communication; and proficient in all forms of communication channels. Any equivalent combination of accepted training and experience may be considered.

Pay: $24.10 - $36.15 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
