Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 1st shift hours: 6am - 2:30pm - occasionally to 3:30pm Location: Geneva, OH 44041 Job Type: Direct Hire/Permanent Position Pay: $70k/yr - $90k/yr Non-Exempt This position is responsible to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates the manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Primary Responsibilities: * Oversees the analysis and design of lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and tools to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnel
- Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of processes and related equipment
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals,
- Develops work aids and/or documentation for products in order to train assembly personnel
- Confers with supply chain and engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to
- Represents manufacturing and/or engineering on cross-functional teams
- Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the
- Adheres to all quality and safety standards
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
- Experience in Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques required
- Possesses mechanical, electro-mechanical, and/or electrical knowledge
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs; CNC programming experience
- Strong knowledge in written product specifications
- Ability to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing process
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors,
- Design Software: SolidWorks/CAD (or similar programs)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- CNC Programming Experience
- ERP Systems - preferably SAP
