Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful realization of projects awarded to the Realization by our Sales team.
The Senior Project Manager will carry out the duties described in this document while ensuring that he/she and the project team under him/her drive value, standardization, cost effectiveness and supportability of systems and solutions Swisslog WDS Americas provided to its customers, creating a world-class organization with value generating products and services.
Make an impact
- Managing the delivery of scope and supply for each of assigned Swisslog Retrofit or Enhancement projects involving Automated Material Handling Equipment and Systems installed at warehouses of various Swisslog Logistic customers.
- Ensure all assigned projects are realized per defined processes, are delivered on schedule and within budget while maintaining customer-focus and high quality.
- Participate and contribute to monthly financial reviews for all assigned projects
- Ability to travel on average 50%, but at peaks travel can reach 75%, depending on project cycle.
- Ability to travel on domestic assignments with flexibility to stay up to 2-3 weeks at a time; some international travel may be required as well.
What you need to succeed
Essential
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial, System Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree or relevant and applicable professional experience with automated Material Handling Equipment installation
- 5+ years of Project Management experience managing Automation systems installation, integration or maintenance
- Experience in defining, procuring, installing and maintenance of mechanical components, Controls hardware and all supporting infrastructure.
- Vendor management
Desirable
- MS degree
- PMP/PMI certification
- Other professional certifications
- Working knowledge of the Warehouse and Distribution domain equipment
- Working knowledge of Material Flow Control Systems
- Working knowledge of PLC controls and control logic (Siemens, Allan Bradley, etc)
- Working knowledge of motors, motor controls and VFD drives
- Ability to read electrical prints and mechanical drawings
