Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Acute care experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• No previous experience allowed for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Required Skills/Experience: - References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. - Must have: IV Start, Telemetry, Ventilator management experience, temp pacer, EVD, CT. - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, Assist with management of BiPAP, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Phlebotomy, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs. - Teaching Hospital Experience

Required Credentials: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

The AM team will find the best fit for the clinician. - Can not apply to any Ohio State University facilities, if you have an active application to any of the James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities. - Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Lumbar drains, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal.

Shift & Scheduling: - Minimum of EOW weekend coverage. - Weekend Nights F/S and +one during week

Floating Requirements: - Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity, including: Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU / MICU / NCCU. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 reference from last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 2 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
