Schedule: MondayFriday

Pay: $16$17 per hour

The Learning Experience is seeking a dependable and caring Childcare Center Cook to support our center by preparing nutritious meals and contributing to a safe positive environment for children. This role is a vital part of our team and helps ensure that every child receives high-quality care throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy age-appropriate meals and snacks that meet nutritional guidelines.

• Maintain up-to-date allergy lists and communicate clearly with teachers regarding childrens dietary needs.

• Follow all food safety sanitation and storage procedures.

• Work with the Center Director to order food and supplies and maintain inventory records.

• Provide excellent customer service to staff children and families.

• Support the daily needs of a busy daycare/preschool kitchen maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in food preparation or cooking; experience in childcare school or institutional settings preferred.

• Ability to obtain a food handling certification within 90 days of hire.

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Genuine passion for supporting the health and well-being of young children.
