Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Akron, OH 44304 (Northeast Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: 25-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit (5 North AAU)
• Assignment Length: 6 weeks (Start: 9/14/2025 – End: 10/25/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960
• Employment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
• Floating: Required as needed based on census and staffing
• Scrubs: Solid black required
• Maximum RTO: 3 days

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Recent EPIC EMR and phlebotomy experience (within last 12 months)
• Charge RN experience required
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Completion of competency exams and onboarding documentation

Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to diverse acuity levels (ratios 1:5 to 1:6)
• Manage patient assignments and perform charge nurse duties, including Pyxis and crash cart checks
• Coordinate admissions, breaks, and meals; communicate with nursing supervisors
• Assign patient care needs for upcoming shifts
• Float to other units as required by hospital census and staffing needs
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR system
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed
