Barberton Mancan is assisting an Akron manufacturing company seeking experienced Tool & Die Setters for full time positions.

Shift is 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Pay is based on experience starting at $30/ hour
This is a temp to hire opportunity for the right candidate.

MUST BE A JOURNEYMAN!

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting dies and tooling used in press operations to ensure efficient and quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and install dies and tooling in stamping or forming machines according to production schedules.
Inspect and verify die alignment and perform test runs to ensure proper function
Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments or repairs to dies and tooling during production
Work closely with machine operators and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime
Monitor machine performance and ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety guidelines are met
Clean, maintain, and store dies and tools in accordance with company procedures
Record and report any die issues or equipment malfunctions

Requirements:
Previous experience in tool and die setup or a similar manufacturing role
Knowledge of stamping presses, progressive and transfer dies, and related equipment
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and die setup sheets
Basic mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Preferred Qualifications:
Formal training or certification in Tool & Die or related trade
Experience with hydraulic and mechanical press equipment
