About the Role:

The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the manufacturing production line to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules, maintaining compliance with GMP and ISO 9001:2015 standards, and leading a team to meet or exceed performance goals. The supervisor ensures that all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operated, while also enforcing safety protocols and environmental health and safety (EHS) audits. They act as a key liaison between management and production staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to foster a productive and motivated workforce. Ultimately, the Production Supervisor drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and maintain product quality throughout the product life cycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with progressive supervisory responsibilities.
• Proficiency in machine controls and Microsoft Office products, including data collection and production scheduling tools.
• Strong knowledge of GMP requirements, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and EHS audit procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership, coaching, mentoring, and conducting training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ADP Workforce or similar workforce management software.
• Background in SAP software or similar programs.
• Certification in quality assurance or production management.
• Familiarity with product life cycle management and shipping/receiving logistics.
• Background in line maintenance and machine operating within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Advanced skills in performance review processes and effective team building strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor daily production schedules to meet customer demand and company targets.
• Supervise and lead production team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and company safety policies through regular EHS audits and quality assurance processes.
• Oversee machine operation, line maintenance, and cleaning equipment to maintain optimal production efficiency and product quality.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including accurate handling of product labels and bills of lading.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and report findings to management.
• Conduct on-the-job training and formal training sessions to develop team skills and knowledge.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

The Production Supervisor utilizes machine controls daily to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely, directly impacting production output and quality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products supports the creation and management of production schedules, data collection, and reporting, enabling informed decision-making. Coaching and mentoring skills are essential for developing team members’ capabilities and fostering a collaborative work environment. Knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001:2015, and EHS audits ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards, maintaining product integrity and workplace safety.
