Job Description

Join a dynamic service company undertaking an automation upgrade project at a large distribution facility. In this role, you will be responsible for installing robotic arms and related equipment to enhance the facility's operations.

Responsibilities

• Install 20 robotic arms, approximately 40 sub-stations, and internal site fencing on the loading docks.
• Utilize power tools, pallet jacks, and air-powered tools to commission towers according to diagrams.
• Push a broom and run materials up the elevator using a pallet jack.
• Assist project teams by commissioning, cleaning the warehouse, and building robotic arms and stations.
• Follow step-by-step instructions and run wiring for power supply of products.
• Move, strap, and catalogue materials using pallet jacks.

Essential Skills

• Previous installation experience with machinery, robotics, etc.
• Hand and power tool experience
• Ability to pass specific criteria testing.
• Capability to lift 40-50 lbs consistently.
• Experience working 8-hour shifts on cement floors.
• Strong attendance record and ability to take direction well.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, construction, loading, packaging, cleaning, and use of hand tools.
• Understanding of basic safety practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently once trained.
• Reliable communication skills and ability to work well with a team.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a large facility with multiple floors. The environment can be messy, loud, and crowded due to ongoing construction. Most tasks are performed on mezzanine and sub-mezzanine levels. Expect a mix of air-conditioned and open-air conditions, which can be hot during summer months. The role is physically demanding, requiring significant walking and movement on cement floors. Work attire includes jeans, steel-toed shoes, t-shirts, and high-visibility vests, with other safety gear such as safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and earplugs provided. The schedule is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break, averaging 40 hours per week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Vandalia, Ohio paying $24.00 an hour.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
