Journeyman Toolmaker - Mold & Die
Are you the toolmaker who sees the entire build before the first cut?
Can you read a blueprint and instantly map out a die or mold plan? Do you switch seamlessly between a Bridgeport, grinders, saws, and EDM—while holding tight tolerances and inspecting your own work? Are you comfortable steering multiple builds and working shoulder-to-shoulder with Engineering and Programming?
If that sounds like you, here’s the opportunity
- Lead the mechanical construction of several molds/dies concurrently using established mold-making techniques.
- Translate design prints into practical, efficient build sequences.
- Perform precision operations within very close tolerances and verify results through self-inspection.
- Operate a range of machines: Bridgeport mills, grinders, saws, and EDM.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Programming across the manufacturing cycle.
- Bring and maintain your own tools and toolbox.
- Follow Corporate EHS, Quality, and HR standards and wear required PPE.
Schedule & Location
3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., Monday–Friday at 3960 S Marginal Rd, Cleveland, OH 44114 .
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution.
- At least five years of toolmaking/mold making experience.
Preferred Profile
- Able to lift 40 pounds.
- State-issued Journeymen’s papers in Tool & Die and/or Mold Making, or 8+ years of job shop experience.
- Background building turbine/airfoil molds and dies (strongly preferred).
- Effective communicator and teammate in both die-making and cell team settings.
- Competence in basic math and trigonometry.
- Comprehensive understanding of tooling processes.
Safety
Although you won’t work with hazardous materials, PPE is required. Adhering to basic safety precautions helps minimize risk of injury.
