We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Chillicothe, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy-duty equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, excavators, and loaders.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is operating at peak performance.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and schedule repairs based on operational needs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy-duty equipment technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in heavy-duty mechanics is a plus.
- Proven experience as a heavy-duty mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as diesel engines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
