Senior Java/AWS Developer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Java/AWS Developer in Westlake, TX. Duties:

• Designing, implementing and managing infrastructure using Terracore and Terraform
• Agile environment work; Collaborate with Agile team members to build comprehensive and cohesive solution approaches; Support project and release planning
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information System, or a related field
• Minimum 8+ years of related technology experience; Financial industry experience a plus
• Demonstrated experience of full Software Development Life Cycle using Java/J2EE technologies, responsive and performant web applications using the Angular framework, DevOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development
• Proficient with designing and developing RESTful services using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Swagger, Docker, YAML, and JSON
• Proficient with designing and developing Single Page Applications (SPAs) and reusable web component using Angular framework and bootstrap
• Proficient in working with Oracle, creating and managing database objects like tables, views, indexes, Stored Procs and optimizing database performance through query tuning, indexing, analyzing performance reports
• Experience with Application development and integrating terraform with Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) tools - Jenkins for automated deployments
• Experience with source code and project administration tools such as GIT, JIRA
• Experience with AWS EKS, Lambda, S3 and overall AWS based application development/deployment
• Knowledge of batch job scheduling and dependency management using BMC Control-M for distributed systems
• Proven ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic, and culturally diverse environment
• An aptitude for writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code; Experience with building and maintaining unit tests and mock services using Jest, JUnit, Mockito unit testing framework
• Demonstrated expertise with critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to take up new challenges and explore new technology/tools
• Strong data driven problem-solving abilities; Collaborate with cross squads to define, design, and ship high-quality software solutions
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to optimally convey technical concepts
