Landscape & Heavy Equipment Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment & Landscape Machinery. This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a diverse fleet that includes trucks, trailers, landscaping maintenance equipment, landscape construction, and forestry equipment . The ideal candidate is well organized, mechanically strong, safety-focused, and experienced working in both shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair heavy equipment, small engines, and landscape vehicles & trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as:
• Skid steers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, and Landscape Trucks
• Wood Grinders, Topsoil Processing Machine, Commercial Lawn Mowers
• Chainsaws, Lawn Trimmers, and related Landscape Tools
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and gas-powered systems
• Conduct routine inspections and document repairs and maintenance services per unit
• Perform field repairs as needed to minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate equipment needs and repair timelines with the Landscape Managers and the Owner

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a mechanic working with heavy equipment and/or forestry equipment
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and power tools
• Experience with equipment as listed above, including Snow Removal – Snow Plows and Salt Spreaders
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data and troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
• Welding and fabrication skills a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
