Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (current state RN licensure required)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum of 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2+ years highly desired); LTAC, med-surg, step-down, or critical care experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation (EHR), and communication skills
• Experience with ventilator care, tracheostomy care, wound care, or rehab nursing is a plus

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized LTAC care plans for complex patients
• Provide high-quality patient care focused on rehabilitation, respiratory management, and long-term acute needs
• Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees; support team development
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, discharge planning, and case management activities
• Initiate patient and family education from admission through discharge to support continuity of care
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives to promote patient and staff safety
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1660-$1750
