MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Akron OH 44305 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $18/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Member Services Representative position supporting members with questions related to enrollment, benefits, billing, and claims. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for helping others and experience in customer service, healthcare, or insurance.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide personalized, professional assistance to members via phone, email, or in person regarding benefits, claims, billing, and authorizations.
- Accurately document member interactions and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Meet or exceed productivity and communication quality standards.
- Use systems such as Amisys and Macess to manage member data and support workflows.
- Protect all confidential member and company information in compliance with regulations.
- Apply independent judgment and empathy to resolve member inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance service delivery.
MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE | REQUIREMENTS :
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable); some college coursework preferred.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 1+ year of experience in a similar customer service or administrative support role.
- Experience in Medicare and/or health insurance strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and office technology (PC, headset, VPN, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
