About this opportunity:

Cenovus is seeking a Settlements Analyst to join our Commercial Finance organization to provide support for the refined products back-office team in Dublin Ohio. This position is responsible for the recording, reconciliation, and analysis of counterparty settlement and account receivables and payables. This role will be the liaison between customers, vendors, commercial operations and commercial accounting regarding settlements to ensure accurate, timely invoicing and cash conversion.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage daily counterparty settlements, accounts receivable and payables, reconciliation, and analysis activities for the US refined products business.
  • Liaise with customers and vendors to ensure accurate, timely settlement, invoicing and cash conversion.
  • Resolve invoicing discrepancies through partnership with Scheduling, Back-Office, commercial operations and commercial accounting teams.
  • Daily validation of AR invoicing and AP transactions.
  • Month end review to move unsettled transactions to accrual status.
  • Assess, assist in the development of and documentation of improved back-office processes following implementation of new ETRM system.

Who you are:

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of work experience; related industry experience and proficiency in SAP, Excel, and RightAngle commodities trading software are considered assets
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to execute in a time-constrained environment, multi-task and meet strict deadlines
