Mixer/Cook

We are looking to add a Mixer to our team at Consumer Guild Foods. The ideal candidate is familiar with cooking large batch recipes, operating machinery, and is familiar with food good manufacturing principles. This role will start learning the process of the plant and move their way up to the mixer role as they learn.

Responsibilities:

• Receives production schedule daily from the planner.
• Assures accurate measurement and ingredient introduction for each recipe batch, as outlined in the production schedule.
• Inspect product for quality prior to mixing ingredients
• Follow the mixing process and procedure guidelines at all times
• Ensure timely supply of mixed ingredients to packaging line to maintain workflow
• Responsible for the mixer set-up and running pumps to the filler.
• Conduct pre and post op of all equipment on a daily basis.
• Equipment wash down before changeover to a different recipe
• Provide a sample for each batch to QC for testing.
• Must report equipment issues to maintenance and production supervisors
• Reports outages of ingredients to supervisor prior to mixing products
• Knowledge of pump assembly and disassembly
• Push and pull tubs, boxes or other containers in the production process
• Scrub and wash pans, carts, and production equipment as needed
• Supply any materials needed in any production operations
• Stand during entire shift (aside from breaks)
• Clean and sanitize entire production room area including machines, equipment, floors and walls
• Adhere to company policy and procedure
• Adhere to SOP's, SSOPS's, GMP's and OSHA guidelines and procedures
• Your role in supporting our Food Safety Management System is to ensure that all policies, procedures, documentation, and behaviors are consistently followed by yourself and your co-workers. If at any time you observe actions or behaviors that are inconsistent with our stated programs you are required to notify your supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old
• High school Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience working in prepared foods
• Must be able to read and follow recipes
• Mathematical Proficiency

Work Environment:

Damp, warm work area. Use of pans, carts, water hoses, chemical cleaning solutions, scales, box tape machine, pallets and pallet jacks. Use of standard PPE (hairnets, safety glasses and beard nets).
