Intern GBD-CMC Project Manager

This 11-week summer internship is designed for senior undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD students seeking exposure to a professional, corporate environment. The internship is project-based, with each intern assigned one clearly defined project aligned to the hosting department’s priorities.
The role emphasizes learning, skill development, and practical application of academic knowledge while contributing to meaningful work.
The intern will lead a project to design and implement a standardized tool or template for managing regulatory authoring and review timelines within the CMC Project Management function. This will require the intern to assess current processes, gather stakeholder requirements, and evaluate available digital solutions—including project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms, as well as data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, or Excel). The intern will recommend and develop a user-friendly solution that improves visibility, tracking, and communication of key regulatory milestones. The project will include piloting the tool, collecting feedback, and delivering user documentation and a summary report of findings and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently plan and execute project tasks with manager guidance
- Analyze data or information and draw actionable conclusions
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders as appropriate
- Communicate progress and challenges proactively
- Deliver a final presentation with findings, outcomes, and recommendations

Minimum Requirements:
- Senior undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD student at time of internship
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with project management and data visualization tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
- Ability to research, compare, and recommend digital solutions to meet business needs
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of initiative and accountability
