Role Overview
As a Plant Reliability Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert keeping our production assets running at peak performance. Your day blends hands-on troubleshooting with proactive care, ensuring minimal downtime across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.
A Day in the LifeYou start by walking the line, checking in with operators and observing process equipment and safety devices. You review work orders in Limble CMMS, tackle planned preventive maintenance, and respond swiftly to any equipment issues that could impact production flow. When needed, you jump into emergency repairs—even off-hours—to get operations back on track.
What You’ll Do- Partner with operators to assess equipment status and ensure they’re set up for success.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose and repair issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Service and troubleshoot conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and HVAC equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan and perform work.
- Collaborate closely with production to maintain steady throughput.
- Document repairs, maintenance logs, and parts usage in Limble CMMS with precision.
- Install new equipment and support plant upgrades, modifications, and commissioning.
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards; model safe work practices at all times.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide emergency maintenance support during off-hours as needed.
- Champion a safe workplace; consistently use proper PPE and adhere to procedures.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of CSE (Confined Space Entry), LOTO, and related programs.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual EH&S compliance tasks on time.
- Bring a positive, team-oriented attitude and contribute to plant-wide improvements.
- Update and maintain drawings, sketches, and blueprints when changes occur.
- Assist with designing equipment changes to enhance performance and safety.
- Keep accurate environmental and equipment records current and audit-ready.
- Deep familiarity with industrial safety programs and safe work practices.
- 2+ years in an equipment maintenance role preferred.
- Desire to further develop skills in mechanical/electrical systems, troubleshooting, and project work.
- Hands-on skill with hand/power tools and diagnostic instruments; PLC exposure a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with CMMS (Limble preferred).
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding a plus.
- Strong problem-solving ability and collaborative communication.
- Comfort working at heights up to 50 feet (scissor/boom lifts) and in confined spaces.
- Prepared to work in outdoor conditions as needed (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
- Activities include sitting, carrying, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and climbing ladders of various heights.
- Lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Strong comprehension of instructions and principles; quick, accurate arithmetic; solid hand–eye coordination.
- Ability to accept responsibility, work under stress, perform precise tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfort interpreting information, influencing others, evaluating options, making decisions, and performing repetitive work.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- No travel required.
