Our Advertising Copywriter is responsible for concepting and crafting persuasive and engaging copy that drives action and resonates with target audiences across various digital, advertising and marketing channels. They work collaboratively with creative teams and internal clients to translate brand messaging into impactful content, playing a crucial role in the success of advertising campaigns. (Be prepared to work smart, have fun and be part of a community of very talented people in all disciplines. Oh yes and partake in some very tasty dishes along the way.)

Essential Functions:
(Note: All coffee, tea, soda and snacks are provided)

• Create compelling and original concepts and copy for online and print advertisements, email campaigns, websites, social media posts, blog posts, and product launches.
• Translate marketing briefs into impactful messaging across customer touchpoints.
• Refine and maintain brand voice and tone across formats and audiences, ensuring consistency in all written deliverables.
• Partner with designers, art directors, and strategists to concept and execute campaigns.
• Edit, proofread, deliverables before final production, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Contribute to brainstorms and messaging workshops to develop innovative campaign ideas.
• Research and understand client needs, target audiences, and industry trends to create relevant and effective copy.
• Create copy concepts and final deliverables to share with internal research teams for testing and learning.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
(Talented pickleball player skills are a plus, but not required)

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit various brands, audiences, and all platforms.
• Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to help elevate the thinking and building on all forms of communication.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with marketing and advertising principles.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Google Docs, project management software).
• Ability and willingness to support additional writing needs for additional teams such as PR, Training, Speech Writing, etc.
  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in an advertising agency setting.
• Must provide a portfolio link of writing samples in different forms of digital, print, broadcast, spoken word, long form and short form examples would be appreciated.
  

Location: This in-office position is located in Wooster, Ohio.
