Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cleanroom Technician - Chemical Operator to join our team in Blue Ash, OH. This role involves operating and managing a variety of production equipment and systems in a cleanroom environment. The position offers the opportunity to work across different shifts and is a 3-month contract to hire role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify all utility systems, such as hot water units and heat exchangers, to ensure equipment is ready for safe and efficient operation.
- Operate production equipment, including reactors, kettles, mixers, pumps, filtration systems, and forklifts, by following established operating procedures.
- Handle material movement by loading, unloading, staging, and packaging products while completing all required documentation accurately.
- Track process conditions, record operational data as it occurs, and promptly report unusual trends or deviations.
- Run systems such as extruders, packaging equipment, wastewater treatment units, and boilers while meeting safety, quality, and performance expectations.
- Participate in shift change updates and daily production meetings to maintain seamless workflow and communication between teams.
- Calibrate equipment and instruments according to established gauge and measurement standards.
- Enter inventory movements and material transactions into the ERP system with accuracy.
- Use approved checklists to complete equipment changeovers, line clearances, sanitation tasks, and verification steps.
- Confirm raw material details, including identity, lot numbers, and quantities, before staging materials for production use.
- Utilize digital tools and resources to support on-the-job learning and task execution.
- Seek clarification when needed to ensure full understanding of tasks and to reduce risk in daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, support teams, and management to address concerns related to safety, quality, or production flow.
- Complete mandatory training, certifications, and assessments within required timeframes.
- Follow all environmental, health, safety, and quality guidelines to maintain a compliant and hazard-free work environment.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas in alignment with housekeeping and GMP expectations.
- Offer constructive feedback to peers to help strengthen team performance and overall operational excellence.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Experience in blending/mixing from food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing
- Forklift operation experience
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Willingness to work in a non-temperature controlled facility
- Must wear proper PPE at all times
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production, chemical mixing, compounding, blending, and batch making
- Knowledge of SOPs, FDA regulations, chemical operation, and machine operation
- Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and heavy lifting
- Familiarity with batch records, fragrance, filtration, and chemical handling

Work Environment
This role is based in a cleanroom environment in Blue Ash, OH, with shifts available across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The work involves standing for the entire shift and working in a non-temperature controlled facility. Proper PPE must be worn at all times to ensure safety.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
