Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced CNC Programmer – Setup – Operator to join our 1st shift team. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist with 4+ years of hands-on CNC programming, setup, and operation experience.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with 3-axis mills, live tool lathes, and Swiss-style machining (Tsugami), including Fanuc controls. You will work directly from 3D models and blueprints to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs while maintaining high precision and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers (Haas NGC controls)
• Program, set up, and operate CNC live tool lathes (Haas)
• Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss machines (Tsugami with Fanuc controls)
• Read and interpret 3D models, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
• Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software including:
• Support the design and build of production machining fixtures to improve efficiency, repeatability, and quality
• Perform first-piece inspections and ensure part quality meets specifications
• Troubleshoot and optimize machining processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with 4th- and 5th-axis programming and setup (preferred)
• Assist with preventive maintenance cycles and basic machine upkeep
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Contribute to automation initiatives, including Universal Cobots for unattended machining (preferred)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience on multi-axis Haas controls and Fanuc Swiss style controls.
• Experience in with multi pallet changing systems.
• Experience in prototype and setup machine operations.
• 5+ years of shop machining experience with 3+ years of programming experience.
• Strong manual machining experience with mill, lathe, surface grinder.
• Experience with additive manufacturing a plus (3D printing polymers and metals).
• Knowledge of advanced cutting tool selection and optimization
• Knowledge of laser engraving of multiple material types and applications a plus.
• Knowledge of ERP system for inventory control and material flow applications is a plus (Fishbowl).

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Trade school or college course work or job-related work experience
• Must be willing to submit to a drug test and Background check free of Felonies
• Must be able to lift 50lb
• Effective communication including speaking, writing, and active listening
• Being able to cross train team members and give instruction well
• Must have good attendance
• Being a good team worker and positive attitude is essential
