Summary Of Position
The Senior Product Manager (SPM) is accountable for guiding the strategic growth and overall direction of the Smart Lighting category, a vital segment of the organization. This role collaborates across multiple functions to develop new product strategies and enhance the existing portfolio. Success in this position requires strong leadership capabilities and proven experience in managing product lines within a fast-paced, cross-functional setting. The SPM will play a key role in driving sales growth and meeting margin targets for the product line.
Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide strategic leadership to cross-functional teams in the development, launch, and commercialization of new products, as well as the ongoing management of existing offerings
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through market launch to eventual phase-out
- Define and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for assigned product lines
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and Total Cost Out (TCO) initiatives to strengthen product line competitiveness and drive profitability
- Continuously assess consumer, customer, and competitive insights to identify market needs and opportunities
- Utilize data-driven insights to segment the market, shape product strategy, and define differentiated customer value propositions
- Collaborate closely with the marketing function to develop, maintain, and optimize sales enablement materials and tools
- Contribute to product line performance reviews in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
- Own and drive key financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and cost targets, to ensure sustained business growth
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, product quality, and project outcomes
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant product management experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Consumer product / Smart Home experience is strongly preferred
- High energy, motivated individual with a strong sense of personal accountability and initiative
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong presentation skills and financial acumen
- Demonstrated capabilities in influencing, facilitation and change management
- Outstanding organizational and analytical skills are crucial to success
- Extremely comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative work environment
