Powder Line Conveyor Loader/Unloader

A manufacturing company is seeking Powder Line Conveyor Loader/Unloaders to set up routed product, load it on the line, unload it off the line, inspect, stack finished product, and perform required clean-up tasks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Duties: **

• Look for parts scheduled in order of the schedule and makes sure only quality parts are moved to the hanging station
• Use only clean hooks and racks to ensure proper grounding for electrostatic powder guns
• Hang parts as indicated by schedules or supervisor and move hung parts onto moving conveyor
• Keep unloading area clear of obstructions and move necessary pallets, etc. to area when needed
• When parts are being double coated, hang parts to be washed near powder booth or as designated by supervisor
• Move painted parts off moving conveyor and unload parts checking for quality of color, defects, etc.
• Keep area clean and assist others to clean area at the end of the shift, during color changes, and during other assigned cleanups
• Count parts and hang product in complete sets and record information on hang schedule which is given to the supervisor.
• Count parts as they are taken off the line and record on time sheet and/or computer terminal
• Clear the washer at lunch or the end of the shift if only cold rolled is on the line
• Hang aluminum or coated steel at the time of lunch or end of shift so no product will rust inside of washer
• Deliver product as needed to new location, recording location as appropriate
• Fills out all time sheets or enter into computer completely and accurately all required information for labor done and all material, components, and product moved
• Observes all personal and equipment safety rules, report any problems to supervisor or lead person, and keep area clean

Job Qualifications:**

• Must have previous experience loading and unloading a conveyor line
• Must have the ability to use clean hooks and racks to ensure proper grounding for electrostatic power guns
• Must be able to follow schedules, assist other to keep area clean, and observe all personal and equipment safety rules
• Must have the ability to maintain appropriate quality level for all work by checking material and/or product for obvious defects before starting a job, check quality of work during the job, check quality upon finishing the job, and notify a lead person or supervisor anytime a quality issue arises
• Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, reliable, and have work boots
