Full-Time

Pay: $16.15 an hour

Shift Pattern: PM, weekends, holidays

The ideal Banquet Houseperson candidate for the Hilton Cleveland Downtown is a dependable and service-oriented team member with 6 months to 1 year of experience in banquet, restaurant, or private catering environments, particularly with table setup and event preparation. This individual demonstrates a strong hospitality mindset, takes pride in maintaining clean and organized event spaces, and supports seamless execution of functions. They must be able to work PM shifts consistently, have reliable transportation, and bring a positive attitude, flexibility, and a strong work ethic to a fast-paced team environment.

What will I be doing?

As a Banquet Set-Up Attendant, you would be responsible for setting and cleaning banquet facilities for functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, including tables, chairs, linens, stages, dance floors, and décor

• Break down and reset event spaces efficiently following functions

• Refill water stations and lining as needed during events.

• Ensure all meeting and event spaces are clean, organized, and presentable at all times

• Clean meeting space including washing meeting room walls at beginning of events.

• Clean meeting space including, but not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping areas and washing walls before and after events

• Respond promptly to last-minute setup changes and guest or client requests

• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house banquet areas, storage rooms, and service corridors

• Follow safety and proper lifting procedures when handling heavy equipment
