Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1860 - $1910

• Location: Columbus, OH 43214 – Explore Ohio healthcare jobs in a lively urban setting with beautiful parks, diverse dining, and a welcoming community.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care interventional telemetry medical surgical unit (Surgical Urology focus)
• Nursing Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Unit Size: 30 beds
• EMR: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry
• Experience caring for post-surgical urology patients preferred
• Travel nurses must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from central Columbus, OH
• Previous charge nurse experience and EPIC charting system experience preferred

RN Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a surgical urology unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry for moderate to high acuity patients
• Administer and manage medications including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, and ketamine drips
• Perform post-operative checks, wound care, and manage surgical drains, foleys, and epidurals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care in EPIC EMR
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Follow infection control and isolation protocols
• Participate in self-scheduling and comply with facility policies
