About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at DeLaney & Co CPA's in Lancaster, OH. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team, providing top-notch accounting services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations


• Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures


• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff


• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting


• Manage and execute accounting processes and workflows for multiple clients in multiple industries


• Maintain and execute daily, month-end and year-end closing procedures


• Create, review and maintain budgets


• Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and adhered to


• Communicate improvements and business growth opportunities with clients


• Handle routine client questions and work with clients to obtain necessary information


• Coordinate and assist with fulfilling clients’ financial statement audit requirements


• Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordination in meeting internal deliverables and expectations


• Assist with firm development and growth strategies


• Continuously improve and document our processes to ensure increased efficiencies


• Cross-train and assist in other areas as needed such as preparation of payroll and related filings and preparation of income tax returns

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field


• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant or related position


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills


• Experience with MS Office and QuickBooks and basic accounting systems; Knowledge of UltraTax and Office Tools a plus


• Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)


• General understanding of business tax law at all levels of the gov’t and how that relates to financial statement reporting

Compensation: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
