High Pressure Boiler Operator

Conducts preventative maintenance and operates high pressure boilers to generate steam for heating and power generation.

Essential Functions:

• Inspects, cleans, lubricates, paints, and repairs high-pressure boilers and associated mechanical equipment using safe and efficient processes adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Conducts regular inspections of the boiler and its components to identify and address any issues. Works with and schedules inspectors for annual shutdowns.
• Tests and conducts analyses of water quality and other associated equipment to maintain efficient operations of steam systems.
• Records and maintains accurate logs of boiler operations including pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption.
• Cleans and maintains the boiler and its components to prevent corrosion and buildup of sediment and scale.
• Responds quickly and effectively to any emergencies or malfunctions that may occur during boiler operation.

Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure Requirement: State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License required.

Experience: Three years of experience working with High Pressure Boilers required. Experience with advance control systems preferred.
