At Concord Road Equipment (CRE)—a division of Buyers Products Company—you’ll turn incomplete commercial truck chassis into purpose-built vehicles that keep communities running. CRE serves state and municipal customers across Ohio and is registered with the Federal NHTSA as an Intermediate and Final Stage Manufacturer of incomplete commercial truck chassis.

A Day in the Life

You clock in and review the build documents for today’s chassis. First task: map out where electronic modules, lights, and controls will live. You fabricate and route custom wiring harnesses, tie into OEM electronics using approved connection points, and bring 12-volt accessories to life. Then it’s on to fluids—measuring, cutting, and fitting hydraulic hoses, installing valves, pumps, and tanks, and mounting hydraulic-driven attachments. You modify chassis components when necessary, test everything, button up cable runs and shields, document your work, and keep the line moving safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Plan component placement on truck chassis and route wiring and hoses to suit build requirements.
• Assemble and prep wiring harnesses; install 12V electronics (lighting, fuses, accessories) to specification.
• Connect to OEM electronic systems by splicing or using existing manufacturer connection points.
• Cut hydraulic hoses to length; install couplers/fittings; mount and commission pumps, valves, tanks, and fluid-controlled accessories.
• Adjust or modify chassis components when needed to fit build intent.
• Function-test electrical and hydraulic systems; secure, tie, and shield all installations to CRE standards.
• Interpret third‑party manuals and internal build documentation to execute accurate installations.
• Maintain written records of work performed for traceability and quality.
• Follow safety procedures (PPE, maintenance requests, hazard communication) and meet customer timelines.
• Adhere to company methods, policies, and supervisor directives; perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/trade/technical training preferred.
• Understanding of vehicle systems, including 12-volt electrical and hydraulic/fluid-power fundamentals.
• Ownership of applicable hand, air, and power tools.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed; forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
• Mobility/dexterity around powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate power/vibrating tools.
• On-site work to support manufacturing operations.
