GCBHS has an immediate openings for full-time and part-time, flexible schedule, Home Visitors/ Family Support Specialists at our Cincinnati office in Price Hill. This field-based position establishes supportive working relationships with parents and young children, provides ongoing prevention services to families using the Healthy Families America and Every Child Succeeds models, and delivers the Growing Great Kids curriculum to families with children birth the three years of age. This position is part of a voluntary parenting program that provides parental support, education, and connections to community resources.
Support families in helping their children grow, learn, and develop to their fullest potential! Join our multidisciplinary treatment organization as a member of the Child and Family Services division, working with the Every Child Succeeds team.

Position Responsibilities:
- Provide support and education regarding fetal, infant and toddler development, and parenting skills using a research-based model and curriculum.
- Develop and implement individualized and developmentally appropriate plans for each child and family that meets program standards and the family’s needs. This includes assessing the family’s overall strengths and needs, while making appropriate community referrals as necessary.
- Complete assessments and screenings to aid in working with the families and identifying their strengths/needs.
- Complete official case notes/documentation.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child & Family Studies, Human Services, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or closely related field preferred
- Associate degree considered with experience and pre-approval
- A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record
- Experience in working with or providing services to children and families *Community/ In home experience a plus.*
- An ability to establish trusting relationships
- Acceptance of individual differences
- Experience and humility to work with culturally diverse families
- Knowledge of infant and child development
- Willing to engage in building reflective capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing the value of supervision, etc.)
- A high degree of initiative and independent judgement.
- An ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills. Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution focused. Must be able to consistently meet deadlines.
- An ability to work independently and create your own schedule- utilizing flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home at times.
