Job Summary
The Quality Weld Inspector is responsible for inspecting, reworking, and improving the appearance and quality of welded parts to ensure all customer and quality standards are met.
Shift: Monday- Thursday 3pm-1am
Pay: $17+/hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect all welded parts for quality, accuracy, and appearance
- Perform rework on welded components as required
- Document all scrapped and reworked parts according to procedures
- Complete required documentation, including production logs, quality checks, and heat codes
- Follow operator instruction sheets and quality standards at all times
- Notify the supervisor of any defects, irregularities, or process concerns
- Ensure proper tagging of bins, racks, and materials
- Hang first parts on the check board and remove as required
- Load and unload materials safely and correctly
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift 20–50 lbs (depending on role)
- Willingness to learn and follow quality standards
- Ability to meet production goals
- Proven history of reliable attendance
- Ability to pass an in-house welding test
- ASTM Weld Certification preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing/production environment
- Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion required
- Use of PPE as required by safety guidelines
