Mainframe Engineer
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Mainframe Engineer. Duties:
- Deploy and support software releases into production environments
- Employ your data security skills to keep our customers' information safe
- 8+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
- Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM
- Knowledge of distributed technologies would be a plus
- Ability to perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments
- Detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing
- Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences
- Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
- Adopt flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs
