Job Summary: The Physician provides licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment (inclusive of surgery or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management and clinical research. The Physician manages complex and sometimes unpredictable situations. The Physician must be competent in technical, clinical and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve those patients receiving the above mentioned services. The Physician is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and physician’s standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center. Required Qualifications: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in specialization required. State of Ohio and DEA licensure required. Completion of an accredited residency in specialty required and a fellowship training program in sub-specialty required (where applicable).

Serves as a fellow in the Neurological Surgery Department; provides training of residents, medical students, undergraduate & graduate students, nursing staff, and other allied medical professionals in the Skull Base specialty area; participates in quality assessment and improvement activities; ensures continuing medical education requirements are met; participates in conferences and programs; conducts research projects; produces abstracts and/or publications. Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: M.D. or D.O. required (foreign equivalent acceptable); successful completion of Neurosurgery residency training program. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a preemployment physical, including a drug screen and background check
