Hotel General Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven, hands-on General Manager to lead our team at the Quality Inn in Perrysburg. As the General Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the hotel, ensuring that our guests receive the "Value Q" service they expect while maintaining the financial health and operational excellence of the property.
You will oversee all departments—from front desk and housekeeping to maintenance and sales—ensuring that every stay is seamless and every team member is empowered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure the property meets Choice Hotels’ brand standards and local safety regulations.
- Guest Satisfaction: Resolve guest issues with empathy and efficiency, aiming for top-tier reviews and repeat business.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse staff. You’ll be responsible for scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering a positive work culture.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the hotel budget, including P&L statements, labor costs, and vendor contracts. Work to maximize Occupancy and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
- Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with the sales team to secure corporate accounts and group bookings, leveraging our location near local business hubs and Levis Commons.
- Property Maintenance: Ensure the facility is well-maintained, clean, and inviting, coordinating with the maintenance team for preventative repairs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in hotel management (Choice Hotels experience is a major plus).
- Leadership: A proven track record of leading teams and reducing staff turnover.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) like ChoiceAdvantage and basic office software.
- Problem Solver: Ability to think on your feet, whether dealing with a maintenance emergency or a guest complaint.
- Community Minded: Familiarity with the Perrysburg/Toledo market and a desire to represent the hotel within the local business community.
Physical Requirements & Availability:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk the property daily.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and being "on-call" for emergencies.
