Hospice Educator

Hospice Educator Salary: $80-89k/ year BOE Schedule: Full time | M-F| 8 am-4 pm Location: Dayton, Ohio Requirements of the Hospice Educator role: * Licensed Registered Nurse: BSN preferred * Experience with end-of-life care or Palliative Care compliance * EMR experience, HCHB/ Point Care preferred * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc. * Knowledge of hospice regulations, CHAP, Medicaid, and medicare guidelines About the Hospice Educator role: * Design and deliver orientation programs for new hospice staff. * Develop ongoing training modules (in-person, virtual, and e-learning) based on staff needs and regulatory updates * Develop and present ongoing training for facility partners, such as Hospice 101 * Provide competency assessments, skills labs, clinical coaching, and participation in annual supervisory visits * Ensure training content aligns with state and federal hospice regulations, including CMS and CHAP standards of excellence * Educate staff on topics including pain management, symptom control, psychosocial support, cultural sensitivity, and ethical care * Maintain accurate records of staff training, certifications, and compliance * Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and serve as a resource for evidence-based practice * Reviews visit documentation, including assessments, Care plans, Medications, POC, coordination notes * Collaborates and provides support to clinical leaders at all Care360 Hospice locations (statewide) * Participate in self-development by practicing further education, workshops, and conferences, active in professional and related organizational meetings, and individual research and reading. * Adhere to Federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations. * Any other tasks assigned.
