Position Overview:
The Expanded Function Dental Assistant will play a key role in supporting our dentists by performing advanced clinical duties, enhancing patient comfort, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the office. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform expanded function duties in accordance with state regulations, including:
• Placing and carving restorations
• Taking impressions
• Applying sealants and fluoride
• Fabricating and placing temporary crowns
• Assisting with restorative and operative procedures
• Provide efficient chairside assistance to the dentist during patient treatment
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments
• Accurately chart and document patient information
• Educate patients on treatment plans and oral health care
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and OSHA guidelines
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications:

• Current EFDA certification (required)
• X-ray certification
• Experience working as a Dental Assistant or EFDA
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and restorative procedures
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
